Brody turned 5 last Friday. We threw him a "surprise" birthday party at our house. He had a weekend full of festivities. On Friday we went to build a bear and to pump it up for a classmates b-day party. He LOVED it, and so did mom and dad:) Brody is still in love with trash trucks and trash cans...hints his birthday cake design. Beginning about 2 weeks ago he started a new love of coins and money. He is a collector. He has a little red tote, given to him by Daba, in which he keeps his "rare" coins and $2.00 bills. Grandpa Jimmy even sent him a few of his rare coins in plastic protector cases. He loves them. To sum it up, Brody is absolutely adorable in every way, he is the most loving young child I have ever been around, so kind hearted, and SO smart. Things he says and does blow me away. He can write his name (has for over a year), has most family members phone numbers memorized and can dial them all alone, can sound out words and essentially read them or recognize them with out help, has known his entire alphabet for close to 1 and 1/2-2 years, and all numbers, can count to about 50 safely...but to 100 with a bit of help, rides his scooter like a champ, helps clean his room, draws pictures perfectly, and says words that even adults don't use...he is simply amazing and truly the smartest, sweetest little guy- we are very proud parents!!!
Picture above was taken on our annual summer vacation to San Diego- Brody loved it!
