The yard before.... YUCK!

Brody's new and improved yard!!

This yard started out as one big overgrown mess of cactus, then we got rid of all that, then it was just a giant mess of rocks and dirt, then Baba (aka Daba) and Mike took care of that. Now, check out Brody's new grass, plants and flowers. With a ton of work from Baba and Dada Brody (which we appreciate so much!)has his dream yard and it looks 100 times better then we had ever wished for.

The new room

We just moved into our new house this week and we have tried our best to get Brody super excited about his "new room". Up to this point he has slept in our bed between Mike and I for the most part of his 19 months. My mom (or Mamie as Brody refers to her) came out for a week to help us move and get settled, and honestly I don't know how we could have done it without her. With support from my mom and Mike I decided to try to put Brody to sleep in his room all by himself...kinda. I had fear that he might wake in the middle of the night and get scared so I made myself a completely uncomfortable make shift bed on the ground beside his crib for the first two nights...and it turned out much better the expected. He did really well the first and second nights however night 3 was a little rough...or maybe I was just so tired I gave in two quickly and snuggled him in bed with me when he roamed into my room at 3 a.m. Regardless, he is doing fabulous and I am so excited for him that he loves his new room so much!
