Halloween

This is not part if the Halloween mix, but uploaded anyways and with it being this cute, how could I delete it?? This was taken by Brody's teacher at pre-school on his his third or fourth day of school, just about the time he started figuring out that school isn't that scary and actually pretty fun! Halloween was a blast this year. Our new neighborhood really goes all out. Aunt Shell and Denzie came up to trick or treat with us and Brody had a blast. We decided to load him up in his little red car and push him around since the streets were so dark. He would ride door to door, hold out his "punkin" (as he calls it) and with his adorably sweet little voice say "drick or dreat" quickly followed with "dank-you" and ride off to the next house all while dad would shine the flash light in his little "punkin" so he could check out his new "dreat". He and "Denzie" LOVED the houses that were decorated and there were several! At one house there was an adult man dressed up as Oscar the Grouch, Brody didn't know what to think of his fellow Sesame Street friend at first but after checking him out for a little while, and receiving candy from him he happily shouted out" WOWWWWW as we wheeled away, everyone was laughing including Oscar. Despite the fact that Brody had a runny nose he had a blast and we can't wait until next year to do it all again!

Dash Dans aka TRASH CANS!

Brody's new love is for trash cans...yes trash cans. He refers to them as "dash dans", the love started when he would see the dash druck come and pick up our trash every Friday. Brody loved the "boom boom truck" as he called it. Soon after, his love for dash dans began. Since we have 3 trash cans in our household, 2 large and 1 small for recycling, Brody decided to name them. The two big dash dans, aka "bit" as Brody refers to them, are named nana and baba, they were named mama and dada however a few weeks ago that changed, and the small trash can has always just been named simply....baby dash dan. Every morning before leaving, we have to go and say goodbye, occasionally checking inside to view the contents. Aunt Mandy and Uncle Todd even made a poster of him driving a dash truck with Shrek as a passenger in back...Brody loves it! we made the mistake of checking on you tube for videos of trash trucks picking up trash...and yes people...they have videos (they actually have trash trucks I, II and III). The bottom pics of Brody show his happily in front of the computer watching videos on you tube of trash trucks.

Pics from our sweet little Brod's 2nd birthday party

We opted out of having a "birthday party" with little ones. This year it was just family...Brody had only been in school for a week at the time of his birthday so it was fair to say he hadn't made any 2 year old friends to invite to a bday party so we opted for doing a small family get together. He got tons of presents. Check out his new bike from Nana and Baba. It was a very a nice day and next year we will plan a wonderful party for him and all of his class mates!!

A 2 Year old BOY!!

If you ask Brody if he is a baby he will say "no boy!" He is 2 years and one month old and does seem to be becoming such a little boy and no longer my baby. He is loving preschool ( it is only Tuesday and Thursday mornings for 2.5 hours) He is becoming a very active, social, and 90% of the time very happy (aka "appy" in Brody language). He is into everything but such a bright and smart little man.

Almost the big TWO!!

It has been a while since I have blogged about our adorable, sweet, lovable little Brody. He has changed so much in the past few months.
Some of his newest milestones are:
Singing Happy Birthday- It's more like "Appy Birthday,Appy Birthday, to you and followed with his own round of applause and a yayyyyyy!!
Singing Elmos World Theme song, again Brody's version goes something like "dats Elmos worddddddddd"
and we can't forget the A,B,C's - he is really good at this one, he gets up to E or F on a good day. He is such a smart little boy and every song he sings is music to my ears:)
He is also stacking blocks- he can get as high as 8-9 small blocks which I find amazing for his age, perfectly stacked one on top of the other.
Brod is talking up a storm too saying a number of things- nacks a.k.a snacks, juice, milk, rain, outside, hotdog, waffles, dogs (by name Macy and Callie) and so many more I can't even list them all. He will be 2 in just over a month and 13 days and its hard to believe. This August he starts preschool 2 days a week from 9-11...our little boy is growing up so fast! and we are loving every minute of it!!

The yard before.... YUCK!

Brody's new and improved yard!!

This yard started out as one big overgrown mess of cactus, then we got rid of all that, then it was just a giant mess of rocks and dirt, then Baba (aka Daba) and Mike took care of that. Now, check out Brody's new grass, plants and flowers. With a ton of work from Baba and Dada Brody (which we appreciate so much!)has his dream yard and it looks 100 times better then we had ever wished for.
