Sick day for dad is a fun day with mommy

Mike was sick with flu-like symptoms so I decided to stay home in the hopes of keeping Brody from getting it. I hated that Mike was sick but I absolutely loved every minute of my day with Brody. He is so much fun, he is such a happy little guy, laughing and playing. He is so easy to entertain, he loves to lay on a blanket on the ground and reach for the dogs as they go by, play in his jumperoo, play under his rainforest jungle gym or just simply "chill" in your lap and watch T.V. He is such a doll and I wish I could spend more time with him during the week...what a dream it would be to be a stay at home mom....maybe we will win the lottery someday and my dream will come true

My Happy Lil' Guy

Brody is so full of laughs lately, he smiles at just about anyone that talks to him. My mom has told me since Brody has been born that 4 months is a magical age...and sure enough she was right. He is growing up so fast, at his four month check up he weighed in at 18lbs and is 27 inches long...What a BIG boy!!! He has been trying to roll over for several weeks now and finally accomplished his mission on Wednesday. It is so cute to watch him flop himself from his side to his tummy, bring each hand around from his sides to his front slowly and then prop himself up like a little turtle and look around for a while. He just gets cuter and sweeter by the day....

Just Stroll'n Along

Brody loves going on daily strolls around the neighborhood. No matter if he is in a grumpy mood or just bored, if you load him up in his stroller and get him strolling he is one happy little guy. He just "cruises" as Grampa Daba calls it. He loves to check everything out and just relax. Mike's mom Connie watches Brody for us Monday-Wednesday mornings, she is the one that started this fun little adventure with him. She started it about a month ago, starting out with small strolls thru her back yard and then recently has been taking him for nice long outings around the neighborhood. Mike and I decided that today on my lunch hour we would take him for a "cruise" around our neighborhood and sure enough he loved every minute.

Brody has decided his new thing is to mimic just about everything that Mike does. Whether it be carrying on a conversation of babble when dad talks to him, spinning and batting at toys just like Mike or what I think is absolutely the most adorable yet- pretending to munch on popcorn as dad eats it from the bag. He is becoming such a little man, and we are loving every minute of watching him grow.

Brody is officially 3 days away from his 4 month birthday. He has grown so much in the past month. He has recently mastered the skill of getting his toes completely in his mouth and he loves it. On the other hand, his dad has mastered the skill of coming up with hilarious voices that make Brody crack up with delight. Oh, how he gets sweeter by the day...

Thanksgiving, Christmas & all the holiday fun.

Brody received his 2nd half of his 2 month shots the day before Thanksgiving so he was not as holly jolly as usual for Turkey day. His focus was more on napping than the wonderful food that Grandpa always cooks. Christmas Eve was a little better. We went to Aunt Rita and Lara's house for our annual present opening ceremony.

There had to have been 100's of presents, or so it seemed. Brody enjoyed watching everyone and the bright colors around the house, but again, shortly after 7:00 he was out like a light. The next day we went to Mike's parents house for our family gift opening, to eat Prime Rib and to watch old home videos from Mike's childhood. It was a great holiday season, but Mike & I are much more excited about future years to come, spoiling Brody with gifts from us and waiting in anticipation for Santa's arrival. Oh, the fun of being a kid again...

Brody decides he is ready to meet his parents

Mike & I found out we were having a baby late January 2008. I was sure I was having a girl and Mike & his mom were sure I was having a boy....well looks like they were right! I wouldn't change a thing, he is absolutely perfect and gets more and more adorable by the day. Our pregnancy went very smoothly with no complications. Brody's due date was September 12, 2008 however he made his grand entrance on September 13, 2008. He was born at 1:43am weighing in at 8lbs 13oz and 21 & 1/2 inches long. He is and continues to get cuter each and everyday.
