Brod loves his dadddy!

One word comes to mind when I watch this...LOVE! Brody adores his dad and after spending all morning with mom on Sunday, as soon as dad walks in from work, Brody's legs are kicking and he can barely wait to be handed off to dad. Nothing is more rewarding then hearing the sweet giggle of such an adorable baby boy!

Moving and a shakin'

Brod is mister mobile lately, he is belly bound just about any chance he gets! He wants so bad to be able to crawl or scoot across the floor but we are not quite there yet.... Any day I am sure.

Even changing his diaper is a task now, the minute you turn around for a clean diaper Brod is on his tummy and wiggling around his crib. Sorry for the butt shot but I think babies butts are the cutest thing ever, especially our baby Brod's!

Puppy Love

Brody is just getting over a cold but as you can see he is happy as can be. He has been a little fussier then norm but then again everyone has their off day. I had today (Presidents Day) off of work and I enjoyed every minute of staying home with him. We had a day full of activities and... a few naps of course.

Brody takes every chance he gets to pet the dogs and I must say Macy is pretty fond of him too.

It's all about the Tummy

Brody WILL NOT stay on his back anymore, now that he knows how to flip himself over that's how he always is.... on his tummy. He attempts to crawl, well I guess you could say that, more like bury his head in the blanket on the ground and motor his legs behind him, and pretty much getting him absolutely no where but the place he started....

Oh what a sleeping little Angel!!

Mike & I both agree that we cannot attempt the parenting method of "letting your child cry themselves to sleep". I know we may be creating bad sleeping habits but our thoughts are that he will only be this young once and we want to know that we did everything in our power to make his early life a peaceful as possible, aside from that, we love watching him sleep. He looks like a little angel.
I have started a pattern early on, that as soon as he wakes up, I meet him with a huge smile and say "good morning", he has caught on too because in response I receive a HUGE smile back and usually a little giggle.
Just recently we figured out that he loves to have his back tickled, he literally goes into a state of trance almost. On Saturday night we were playing on his blanket when he became a little restless so I started to tickle his back, about 2 minutes later he was crashed out clutching his favorite giraffe rattle. I honestly think there is nothing more rewarding then staring at someone you have created and seeing them look so happy and peaceful...

Cereal, Rolling Over, Talking...what will be next?

Brody has just recently started eating cereal and he seems to like it pretty well. He shows so much interest in the food that Mike and I eat that we figured it was time. He is also dying to sit on his own...then again so are we, or at least my arms are dying for him to sit on his own. I figure in the blink of an eye he will be running around the house and we will be saying..."what happened to the days when I could keep up with you". Brody's 5 month birthday is Friday the 13th- oh how time flys when your having fun!

B-R-O-D-Y spells Sweetheart

Our weekend was very nice, low key, but very nice. Mike has almost made a full recovery from the cold he battled all week and thankfully Brody did not get anything more then a stuffy nose. Maybe it is because he is my child but I think my little Brod is so advanced for his age. He seems to learn something new everyday. In my eyes he is just about the smartest little boy around...then again I think he's the cutest too. He is such a happy little boy but what reason does he have not to be? Both sets of grandparents absolutely adore him. His Aunts think he is just about the cutest thing around and all of his cousins are full of curiosity about him. He truly is such a sweetheart, he is rarely fussy outside of the normal feeding fuss or tiredness fuss. His smile is so captivating, his whole face just lights up. He makes both Mike and I both feel certain we will have a sibling for him one day.... lets just say a few years down the road of course.
